Distribution: India

Description: Cephalothorax brownish, narrowed at cephalic region. Eyes pearly white. Sternum brownish, heart shaped, as wide as long, widest between coxae I and II, slightly narrowed from III to IV, posterior end not pointed, somewhat truncated. Legs greenish yellow, tibia I, II, IV with black band at proximal and distal end. Metatarsi and tarsi with black band at distal ends. Palp lighter than legs. Dorsum of abdomen white, with 7 transverse black bands. The centre of black band pointed anteriorly in the median line. The anterior most black band is broader but does not reach the lateral margin unlike other bands. Ventrum yellowish brown, a black lateral patch on either side of spinnerets; a pair of black longitudinal stripes at the region of epigyne. Two pairs of black patches also present in the middle region. Below the epigyne, a yellowish median patch present.


Natural History: Spins irregular webs among leaves about 1.5 mts from the ground. The web consists of a more or less horizontal sheet held in position by masses of threads attached to the vegetation above and below the sheet.
